進軍全國英文演講比賽： 2002年 秋季的這場 區域比賽 第一場關鍵比賽
在 M 進軍全國演講比賽的過程中，有三場比賽 是 關鍵重要的比賽，這裡先介紹的是第一場關鍵的比賽!
這是2002年 ~ 秋季的這場 ，初次代表分會 參加區域級( Area B ) 英語幽默演講比賽~ 演講題目：『 Coal or Diamond ?』
( 在2002年時~ 中部地區 英文 + 中英clubs 共有九個會 ~ 這一場是中部地區的一場大賽 ，要取得前兩名的資格 ，才能取得代表權 代表中部地區 ，參加每年由 台灣 Toastmasters總會 舉辦的 秋季全國英語幽默演講大賽 ! ^_^ )
『 Coal or Diamond? 』
這是一篇幽默演講的比賽 ， Industrial designer Michael 運用他 工業設計師 最擅長的 創意思考，來構想這一個演講的主軸 ，這篇演講的 核心思考創意邏輯 是...
The same thing happening in different place will have different result?
同樣的事情，發生在不同的文化 、不同的國家 ，就會產生不同的結果~
然後 去引伸出 ~
通樣的人 ，放在不同的環境 ， 就會形成 造就 出截然不同的人 ~
以這樣的主軸 ... 然後 ~ 開始舉例子 : 加入唱歌表演 、 跳舞等 ， 因不同範例人物 而有不同的表演 與 punching line ~
以下是這篇Coal or Diamond 最初的演講稿 ： ( 註記 : 這篇演講稿 是在 2002年 ~ 那時候的時空背景 而 寫下的一篇演講稿 ~ 並非 2013 )

相同的事情，發生在不同的文化國家，會有截然不同的結果
Good evening ladies and gentlemen,
各位先生女士.. 您好,
Tonight my topic is “Good environment. Coal become diamond!”
今天我的演講題目是：『 是木炭 或是 變成鑽石? 』
Do you know how important it is to have a good environment? If you don’t understand I can act for you:
您知道...社會文化環境，對一個人的發展，有多麼的關鍵與重要嗎?
( 以下 演講一開始的角色情境扮演 role play action )

第一幕情形 若是在台灣
Emily walks in the front of me: I whistle and say ”Hi, lady! You are very beautiful! May I invite you to drink a cup of coffee?
Emily從我的前面走過，( Action 開始 )
我吹著口哨對著Emily說:
『 小姐，妳好漂亮，請問... 我可以請你去前面的咖啡廳喝杯咖啡嗎? 』
『 小姐，妳好漂亮，請問... 我可以請你去前面的咖啡廳喝杯咖啡嗎? 』
Emily says: “Boring!” Emily 回應說: 無聊!
This is in Italy. Action!
以下 一幕 若是發生在義大利 街上~
Emily walks in the front of me: I whistle and say ”Hi, lady! You are so beautiful! May I invite you to drink a cup of coffee?
Emily 從一位義大利男子面前走過，，這位義大利男子對Emily吹著口哨 微笑的說 ：
『 小姐，妳好漂亮，請問... 我可以請你去前面的咖啡廳喝杯咖啡嗎? 』
Emily laughs secretly and says “OK!”
這時候, Emily 偷偷的微笑 說 『好啊!』
這時候, Emily 偷偷的微笑 說 『好啊!』
That’s what I mean. The same thing happening in different environment has totally different result.
這就是 我所想 ... 要表達的，相同的人 或 事，若是 出生或 發生在不同的文化 社會 國家，就會出現截然不同的結果!
So we can understand how important it is to have a good environment. We know, if coal meets right environment coal will becomes diamond.
...所以，我們可以曉得: 《 一個國家的社會價值文話，對一個人的發展，尤其是對青少年 小朋友的發展，扮演著多麼的關鍵與重要的角色 ! 》
Next I will give you a famous example!

第一個例子 拿 LA Boys 探討可能的情況分析
That’s what I mean. The same thing happening in different country has totally different result.
第一個例子 將以台灣小孩，如果是 在美國的環境成長 跟 在台灣成長，可能不同的發展 ...以LABoys為例 來探討~
There are two Taiwan
有兩個小男孩，他們很愛跳舞跟音樂，但是他們兄弟倆 不是很愛念書，
If they grow up in America , after 17 years, they will come back to Taiwan
If they grow up in Taiwan Someday maybe they will be brought to the police station because of eating drug and shaking head in the pub. (shaking heads)
這兩個小男孩，如果是在美國的文化社會環境下成長，17年之後，他們可能回來到台灣，成為台灣家喻戶曉的 唱歌跳舞 熱門 偶像團體， 就像 LA Boys；
但是 ，如果成長在台灣的社會文化環境，17年之後，他們很可能 會被帶進去警察局，因為去Pub 吃搖頭丸、 搖頭熱舞；
第二個例子 舉 舒淇 與 徐若瑄 作為例子~ 探討台灣社會文化 與 西方文化 造就出不同的發展結果 ~
There is a girl. She doesn’t like to wear clothes. She likes to share her inner beauty to others.
有一個年輕女孩，她不太喜歡穿太多的衣服，且她喜歡與別人分享她的美好 與姣好身材，
If she still lives in Taiwan someday she will be found to be a Betel-Nut 西施. And she will be brought into the police station, too. That’s because of her fewer dressing.
如果這樣的女孩，成長在台灣的社會價值文化環境， 她很可能會變成 一位檳榔西施，並且因為她 穿得太少，也被抓進去警察局 ，
If she moves to Hung Kang someday she will be discovered by a movie company. And she will become an international super star, Like 舒琪.
但是 , 這樣的女孩，如果是去到了香港，她很可能被星探與電影公司給發掘，而成為國際性的電影明星，就像 我們的舒淇 ^^ ，
If the girl moves to Japan some day she will be noticed by a TV station and become a famous TV toaster and a famous singer, Like 徐若宣!
如果是去到了日本，也可能被日本的電視公司給發掘，而變成 電視主持人與歌手 ，就像 徐若瑄 的被發栽培過程故事 一般，
第三個例子 舉 台灣青少年飆車 ~ 探討台灣社會文化 與 西方文化 可能的不同的發展結果 ~
There is a young man. He likes driving his car very fast on the road. His driving skill is very perfect and professional.
在台灣 有一位青少年，他很喜歡飆車，而且他開車的技術非常厲害 且專業，
If he still lives in Taiwan someday you can see him on the TV, because he will be brought to the police station for the reason “飆車”
如果他生活在台灣， 有一天...您很可能會從電視新聞上看到他，他將因為飆車 而被警察 捉進 警察局，
If he moves to the Europe maybe he have the chance to be the champion of the function 1.
但是, 如果這位青少年是成長在歐洲，很可能 有一天 他有機會... 可以 成為 像 車神 法拉利 Michael . 舒馬赫 一樣厲害的賽車選手，
第四個例子 舉 發生在我四姐身上 ~ 有趣真實故事 ~ 探討不同國家 的不同審美觀念 ~
My young sister, her eyes are very small but she has single eyelids. Her nose is low. But her butt is fat. Generally speaking she is not beautiful in Taiwan Indonesia Indonesia she was surrounded by many Indonesia Indonesia
Hi, lady! Could you please give me your hand? My sister raised her hand to him and the man kissed on her hand and said” Hi lady! You are the most beautiful lady I have ever seen!”
My sister was so happy and so surprised because she could not believe that in Indonesia Taiwan
第五個例子 有些人在台灣被當作根本沒什麼 ~ 但 被歐洲藝術家發掘後~ 變成國際性的音樂表演者 ~
There is a man. He lives in the mountain area in 花蓮. He likes to dress colorfully. And he likes to insert several feathers on his hat. Everyday he will eat several pieces of betel nut!( Chewing betel nut and vomiting the red juice) When he feels boring he will sing some songs likes:

Some day a French musician discovered his song. The musician made his songs into an album. Finally his song was chosen to be the Olympic topic song. The man is 郭英男.
From these examples we can understand Taiwan
Some people live in Taiwan cannot develop very well because of Taiwan ’s culture limitation or Taiwan
So.. tonight I will encourage everyone to discover yourself. And develop yourself in all directions!
Then your feature will be unlimited!

最後歸結 ~ 要讓一個人 只是木炭 或者 是變成 Diamond ~
最重要的是在...一個國家社會的文化 、人民的觀念 、需要創造一個正向思考 、具創造力 與 開放性思考的環境 ~
讓每個人 都可 ~ 從coal 變成 Diamond !
未來 ： 我們應當要有能力... 改變自己 形成 與 創造這樣的社會環境 文化 ，
意思是...很多人到了外國~ 都變成像是多才多藝 有良好的發展~ 找到她散發光芒的內在天賦 ~
可見這問題的根本~ 是在台灣的教育制度、 社會環境、價值 與 文化 ~
未來 : 我們自己應該要具備這種發覺一個人內在天份興趣特長的 environment ~ 然後引導他們~ 透過教育 與 改造與建構
而能幫助未來更多人們 ...

進軍Toastmasters英語幽默演講全國大賽 : 9
在三十歲前呢? 小可 ( 小可-- 是古代宋朝 自稱用詞, 學自 看水滸傳學來的 , 剛好與麥可 很適合 ^^ ) 的智慧還不足 ，因此沒有辦法 選擇與決定 自己想要成為什麼樣的人， 2002年 ，我30歲了，開始我有了一些改變； 突然間 ，我好像頓悟了， 我開始想要去去回自己人生的主控權 ... 現在的我想要重新選擇... 我自己想要成為什麼樣的人?

2003年時 熱衷於跳愛爾蘭踢踏舞 , 20年後~ 換在大畫布上 用畫筆 跳踢踏舞 ( <= 2023 M 探索 抽象 現代 藝術 )
